The mechanism

Roofs don’t wear out. They dry out.

An asphalt shingle is asphalt, a reinforcing mat and a layer of protective granules. Almost every failure starts the same way — the asphalt loses its oils, goes brittle, and stops holding onto the granules. ShingleLock puts oil back into the asphalt.

    Shingles dry out

    Asphalt shingles start flexible because the asphalt is full of oils. Sun and heat drive those oils off year after year. The asphalt hardens, the mat loses its ability to flex, and the granules bonded to the surface start letting go.

    Granules shed

    Those granules are the shingle's shield against UV. Once they wash into the gutter faster than the asphalt can hold them, the mat underneath is exposed and degrades quickly. This is the point most roofs are condemned.

    ShingleLock penetrates

    The emulsion is sprayed onto the roof and absorbs into the asphalt rather than sitting on top of it. It is not a coating, a sealant or a membrane — there is no film left on the surface.

  4. 04

    The asphalt softens and grips

    Once absorbed, the asphalt regains flexibility and the bond to the granules tightens. In testing, aged shingles gained flexibility and stiffness at the same time, and held significantly more of their granules than untreated shingles of the same age.

Mix
1 part concentrate to 2 parts water, agitated until homogenous.
Coverage
One gallon of concentrate treats 200 sq ft of roof.

A trained certified applicator. Never sold for homeowner application.

A single visit. No tear-off, no dumpster, no disposal.
Reapplication
Every 6 years keeps the roof in the treated state.
