Hail impact resistance

Granule loss at impact
Why it matters
Hail strips granules and cracks brittle shingles. Older roofs fail first.
What the test found
On 10-year-old shingles, untreated samples showed visible damage and granule loss at the impact points and failed. Treated samples showed no granule loss and no observed damage.

Tested by Certerra, 2025, an accredited independent laboratory. Comparison is against untreated shingles of the same age.
